Shooting incident left a victim with gunshot wounds

A 23-year old man sustained gunshot wounds in an incident in Abbotsford. The police have not definitively linked a shooting to the ongoing Townline Hill gang conflict but Abbotsford Police spokesman, Const. Ian MacDonald stated that it has all the “earmarks”.

A 23-year old Abbotsford man was driving north on Livingstone Avenue which turns into Blue Jay Street when he was shot somewhere along the route. The man was driving a Cadillac Escalade veered into a power pole and crashed into the front yard of a house at the corner of Blue Jay Street and Cardinal Avenue.

The emergency crews arrived on the scene and the man was transported to a healthcare facility where he remains in a serious condition as he recovers from gunshot wounds. The victim is not cooperative in providing any details. The site of the shooting is in the area of west Abbotsford where several drive-by shootings and assaults have occurred.
