The standard first aid and CPR recertification course take 8 hours to complete. Participants that choose to have CPR level “HCP” co-delivered with the course will need 8.5 hours to complete the course.
The cost of the re-cert course is $94.99.
To be eligible for a standard first aid and CPR renewal /re-cert course candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must have completed a full standard first aid course or a recertification course of the same level within the past 3 years.
- Previous certificate must be current.
- Must bring previous first aid and CPR certification card to renewal course.
- Certificate must be through an OH&S approved provider such as St Mark James Training, Canadian Red Cross, Lifesaving Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
- Must have completed the previous certification within Canada.
Participants that do not meet these requirements will have to re-take the regular standard first aid course in Edmonton.
Candidates will review all of the material completed in the original course and will focus on changes and new standards implemented by St Mark James Training provided by Alberta OH&S.

Refunds are not accepted within 72 hours of the primary course. Transfers requested within 72 hours of the course will be charged $25.00. Prior to 72 hours before the course candidates can receive a full refund from the standard first aid and CPR recertification course. There are no refunds for rescheduled events.
