Emergency First Aid and CPR Course

Edmonton First Aid proudly offers OH&S approved emergency first aid and CPR courses. This course is one of the most popular first aid courses offered through Edmonton First Aid. It is a 8 hour course that is typically completed within one day. Emergency First Aid Course Length:

The length of a OH&S approved emergency first aid and CPR course is 8 hours.

Course Cost:

The cost of a emergency first aid course is 89.99. CPR level “C” comes standard with the course but participants can select additional training in CPR  “HCP”. Course fee includes workplace approved certification fee, training manual and taxes.

Certification:

Candidates that successfully complete the course will immediately receive a Alberta OH&S approved emergency first aid and CPR certificate that is valid for 3 years.

Emergency First Aid and CPR Course content:

The following is the course content of a workplace approved emergency first aid course:

  • CPR – Adult victim
  • Recognition and treatment of victims of choking
  • Respiratory Emergencies
  • Circulatory Emergencies
  • External Bleeding
  • Training in use of automated external defibrillators (AED’s)
  • Wound care
  • Burns
  • Facial injuries

Emergency first aid training in Edmonton includes CPR and AED.

Typical Course Candidates:

Course candidates include parents, teachers, administrators, fitness workers, fitness instructors, health care workers, police officers, community centre workers and health care administrators.

Re-Certification Courses:

Re-certifications are not available for emergency first aid.
