The cost of a emergency first aid course is $94.99. Participants may select several level’s of CPR training to partner with the course. CPR level “A” comes standard with the course but participants can select additional training in CPR “HCP” or CPR level “C” in Edmonton.

Candidates that successfully complete the course will immediately receive an OH&S approved emergency / basic first aid and CPR certificate that is valid for 3 years.

CPR Training
Emergency First Aid includes training in CPR and the use of AED’s.

The following is the course content of our OH&S approved emergency / basic first aid course:

  • Recognition and treatment of choking victims
  • Managing respiratory emergencies
  • Addressing circulatory emergencies
  • Controlling external bleeding
  • Proper use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs)
  • Comprehensive wound care
  • Treating burns
  • Managing facial injuries

Course candidates include parents, teachers, administrators, fitness workers, fitness instructors, health care workers, police officers, community center workers and health care administrators.

We recognize that everyone learns at their own pace and through different methods. If you’re unable to complete the course on your first attempt, you’re welcome to retake it at no additional cost. Our goal is to support your success every step of the way.

Refunds are not available within 72 hours of the scheduled course. Transfers requested within this period are subject to a $25 fee. For refund or transfer requests made more than 72 hours before the course start date, a full refund will be provided. Please note that there are no refunds for rescheduled events.

Students are strongly advised to check with their employer prior to enrollment to ensure the certification meets their requirements.

Your Emergency First Aid & CPR certification from St Mark James Training / Edmonton First Aid is valid for three (3) years in Alberta.
To maintain a valid certificate, plan to renew or recertify before the expiration date.

Yes. If your certificate is still valid (not expired), you can take a recertification option to renew it.
If it has expired, you’ll need to complete the full Emergency First Aid & CPR course again.

In Alberta, Emergency First Aid & CPR is acceptable for many low-risk workplaces per Alberta OHS guidelines.
If your workplace is classified as higher risk or has additional requirements, you may need Standard First Aid & CPR instead.
