Young residents from house given CPR by firefighters. A large contingency of emergency crews responded to a house fire at 17808 93 St.
House fire
Two young teenagers were pulled from the house fire. According to Edmonton Fire Rescue Services Deputy Chief Scott MacDonald, 2 young teenagers were rushed to a healthcare facility after the emergency crew delivered CPR. Sadly, it was not looking good.
The fire started in the kitchen and was contained but the 2 teenage children were retrieved from the upstairs. Both were given CPR at the time. The father was given treatment for carbon monoxide poisoning at the scene while the mother was able to escape unharmed.
The Fire Rescue Services and Emergency Medical Services paramedics were later joined by the Edmonton Police Service officers. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
