Stabbing victim resuscitated with CPR

A 37-year old stabbing victim was resuscitated with CPR. The man is fighting for his life after police found him without a pulse early Sunday morning.

Stabbing incident

Insp. Dean Robinson stated that officers found the man lying unconscious in the intersection at Main and Hastings street at around 1:30 AM and quickly performed CPR on him.

They were able to resuscitate him just before the arrival of the ambulance paramedics. He was then quickly rushed to a healthcare facility for emergency surgery where he remains in critical condition.

A 22-year old New Westminster man was arrested in the 600-block of Quebec Street shortly after. He is facing undisclosed charges. The detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Major Crime Section were called in to conduct the investigation.
