A man suffering from severe smoke inhalation was given CPR by the emergency crews. A man who was believed to be in his 40s was severely injured after he was pulled from a burning house in north Toronto.
Dangers of fire
Heavy smoke was seen pouring out of the house in the area of Eglinton Avenue West and Harvie Avenue near Dufferin Street when the fire crews arrived. The firefighters pulled a man without any vital signs from the blaze.
According to the Toronto paramedics, the man was suffering from severe smoke inhalation and the emergency crews had to perform CPR. He was resuscitated and rushed to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in life-threatening conditions.
No one is believed to be inside the house when the fire broke out. The blaze contained to the kitchen and the crews were able to quickly put it out. The fire investigators are at the scene and figuring out the root cause.
