Drowning victim in country lake given first aid

The SQ and the coroner’s officer are investigating a case of drowning at Lac-Raymond. The drowning incident occurred in Outaouiais cottage near St-Sixte which is around 60 kilometers east of Ottawa.

Dangers in the water

The victim was identified as a 60-year old woman. According to the statement, the SQ received a call regarding a woman who was in distress at around 4:45 PM.

Efforts were made to revive the woman but were unsuccessful and her death was later declared at a healthcare facility.
