CPR performed on a man pulled from the waters of Wasaga Beach

A man receives CPR after pulled from the water at Wasaga Beach. Sadly, the man died after he suffered some form of health condition while swimming at Wasaga Beach.

Watery ordeal

According to the Wasaga Beach Deputy Fire Chief, they were called to Beach Area 2, near Mosley Street and 6th Street North just before 6 PM.

A man was swimming with his wife when he suffered some form of medical distress. The bystanders brought him to the shore and initiated CPR before the firefighters arrived and took over with the resuscitation efforts. The man might have suffered a heart attack.

The man was rushed to Collingwood General Hospital by the paramedics where he was later declared dead. According to the officials, the victim was in his 70s. This is considered as the second death at Wasaga Beach in less than a week.
