Saving a life

Cody McEachern and his girlfriend named Corinne McQuillan were on their way home from shopping. They heard an unusual voice coming from their eight-month-old baby named Archer in the backseat. They stopped and noticed that the baby was having a seizure.

The face of Archer was starting to turn blue and his eyes were rolling to the back of his head. The couple was already hysterical and panicking. They pulled their baby out of the car. Archer was limp and unresponsive.

In a few minutes, a bus passed by and a woman had just gotten off the bus. She immediately saw two people panicking and holding a baby. She runs towards the couple and took hold of the baby. Some vehicles that were passing by also stopped and tried to help. Others called the emergency numbers. She immediately provided first aid on Archer. She started smacking the baby at the back and eventually started coughing and cried. Archer was revived.

The Good Samaritan woman got Archer to breathe again before paramedics arrived in the area. After the incident, the woman just left in the direction of Nicholas Lane. The couple did get the name of the Good Samaritan woman who provided first aid on their baby.

In a couple of days, the mother of Cody McEachern posted to Facebook in a quest to find the Good Samaritan woman walking on Nicholas Lane two nights ago. Within an hour the woman was identified as Justyn Caldwell.

Caldwell is a preschool teacher. She has first aid and CPR training every three years. She spent all night thinking about the baby she provided first aid. She was happy when she saw in the Facebook a post looking for her.

According to Caldwell she has no idea what happened after she left the area, but I know the baby is revived, okay and doing great and that makes me happy.

The couple McEachern and Mcquillan were very grateful for the Good Samaritan woman who was there during the incident. The couple had no idea what was going on with their baby. She just arrived in the area provided first aid on Archer and she is in control of the situation. She has self-confidence in everything she is doing.
