A grass maintenance worker who drowned after machine rolls into pond was given CPR. The 20-year old man was killed while cutting grass in Glenwood Park.
Workplace accident
At around 8:30 AM, the maintenance worker who was trimming the grass in the Fraser Heights Park ended up trapped beneath the commercial lawnmower he was riding after it rolled into a pond.
The RCMP were able to release a few details however witnesses stated that a co-worker and bystander assisted in lifting the mower off the victim and performed CPR until the emergency responders arrived.
It remains unclear how long the man was trapped in the water or what caused the accident. Sadly, the victim died in a healthcare facility.
