Recertification Course Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a recertification course, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. Valid Certification: Candidates must have completed a full certification course or an eligible recertification course within the past three years. Their current certification must still be valid on the day they attend the in-person recertification class. Expired certifications will not be accepted.

2. Canadian Certification: The previous certification must have been obtained in Canada. International certifications are not accepted for recertification purposes.

3. Recognized Training Provider: Candidates must have completed their previous training with a recognized provider, such as St. Mark James Training, the Lifesaving Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Important: Candidates who do not meet all the eligibility requirements must complete the full certification course instead of the recertification course.

Scheduling Your Recertification

If your certification is approaching its expiry date, please contact us before registering to confirm when the in-person portion of the course can be completed.

This will help you coordinate your training and ensure your current certification remains valid on the day of your in-person class.
