You need to wear a face mask at all times inside Movati Athletic facilities, except when you are using cardio equipment, participating in a group fitness class, showering, or swimming.
Movati Athletic has introduced a new mandatory mask protocol as facilities prepare to reopen in Ottawa this weekend following a 28-day shutdown.
Effective November 7, the use of face masks will be mandatory while in the club, including while you lift weights. The mask should fit securely around your mouth, nose, and chin without gaps.
You will be allowed to temporarily remove your face mask in the following situations:
- Using cardio equipment
- Participating in a group fitness class
- Showering, swimming, hydrating, or enjoying the whirlpool spa
Ottawa will move into the new “restrict” level that allows gyms and fitness centers to reopen. The new rules for sports, gyms, and fitness centers include a maximum of 50 people in the facility at all times, required screening of patrons, and appointments for entry.
The new rules released by the Ontario Government state face coverings are required except when exercising.
