TTC employee in critical condition after an industrial incident

A TTC employee in Etobicoke was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The incident is being investigated by the Ministry of Labour.

According to the Toronto police, the incident which appeared to be an industrial accident occurred near Evans and Kipling avenues.

Based on a statement by the ministry, a worker was found unresponsive as a result of a “possible medical episode” while operating a bus in the garage. CPR was performed on the worker when emergency crews arrived on the scene.

The victim identified by the paramedics as a man in his 60s was taken to a local hospital in life-threatening condition. The ministry stated that an inspector has been assigned to probe the circumstances surrounding the incident.
