CPR performed on man after water scooter accident

A 33-year old man received CPR after involvement in water scooter accident. The man was found face-down in the Bay of Quinte as a water scooter he was believed to have been driving circled unmanned nearby.

Unforeseen accident

The OPP were called to a public boat launch on Bayview Drive, along the eastern edge of the Bay of Quinte. Someone called 911 to report that a possibly intoxicated man was trying to unload a jet ski at the boat launch.

Around 20 minutes later, the OPP were informed that someone was performing CPR on a man at a residence on County Road 9.

As the officers headed to the scene, OPP were notified that a man and woman wearing life jackets were seen riding the jet ski in the Bay of Quinte. Around 20 minutes later, the OPP were informed that someone was performing CPR on a man at a residence on County Road 9.
