A 26-year old skier from Vancouver was given CPR after a skiing incident. The incident occurred on the backcountry slopes on Vancouver’s north shore.
Unforeseen skiing ordeal
The man was rescued from an area on Cypress Mountain, near Hollyburn Ridge and the Baden Powell Trail after two snowshoers found his friend trying to help him out of a muddy creek embankment.
The pair performed CPR until the North Shore Rescue arrived and utilized a helicopter and long lines to airlift him to a waiting ambulance.
The West Vancouver Police stated that they will not release the name of the man unless they get consent of his family.
