A man who was pulled from the Fraser River received CPR. A Coast Guard hovercraft searched the area where a man was pulled from the Fraser River along the Haney Bypass at 225 Street in Maple Ridge.

Watery ordeal

The man who was found not far from the shore by police and fire crews succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to a healthcare facility. According to Ridge Meadows RCMP, the man was alive when police brought him out of the water. He was given first aid care and CPR was performed.

The RCMP’s serious crimes unit is involved in the investigation, but there is no sign indicating foul play. The police received information that the man was on a jet skin or some form of watercraft but no vessel has yet been recovered.
