An 81-year old woman was given CPR after involved in Richmond collision. The woman was hit by a car in Richmond.
Deadly collision
The woman was walking near No. 1 Road and Tucker Road when she was struck by a Mercedes SUV according to the police. Good Samaritans rushed to her aid and even delivered CPR until emergency crews arrived. She was transported to a healthcare facility. Sadly, the woman was declared dead.
The police stated that the driver, a 78-year old man remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Both alcohol or speed are not contributing factors in the collision.
According to Cpl. Dennis Hwang, those who travel by foot or bicycle must wear clothing with reflective materials and utilize a flashing safety light. For motorists, it is vital to plan travels with time to spare and always drive attentively.
