Always on the watch

According to the director of recreation and community development of Saskatoon, the city coordinates the number of lifeguards at a pool in the city.

As a preventive measure, the number of lifeguards at a pool depends on the number of individuals in the water. At the time of the ordeal, the city had three lifeguards. It is the highest number of lifeguards present. During school swims where there are many swimmers present with varying swimming levels, it is a common practice.
