Man killed in Pierrefonds shooting given CPR

A 20-year old man died despite CPR after a shooting incident in Pierrefonds. The site of the incident, Ramsay St. is a quiet residential neighborhood with single-family homes and a few three-storey apartment buildings.

Shooting ordeal

The street was cordoned off with police tape near Fredmir St. as the investigators searched the area.

A 20-year old man who lives in the area was shot during an altercation with another person. The incident occurred between two of the street’s apartment buildings. The police has yet to locate the shooter. The man was shot in the upper body at least once.

The victim had a group of friends with him and they called 911 as soon as he was shot. The friends carried him into a vehicle, a beige Toyota Camry and were on the way to the hospital when they crossed paths with a police squad car on Fredmir near the corner of Pierrefonds Blvd and flagged it down.

The firefighters and an ambulance were called in and performed CPR on the scene. The man was transported to a healthcare facility in critical condition. Sadly, he was declared dead.
