A 69-year old man who was hit by vehicle given CPR. The man was hit by a vehicle as he walked on Renaud Road in the Chapel Hill South area.
Vehicular accident
The police stated that the crash on Renaud Road is still under investigation. There are no charges been laid. The roadway was temporarily closed between Markinch Road and Mer Bleue roads. The police reported that the road had reopened just before midnight.
The victim suffered trauma to multiple systems of his body and was in cardiac arrest according to the paramedics. Bystanders and the police initiated CPR before the arrival of the paramedics.
The paramedics continued with the resuscitation efforts on the way to the local trauma center but the man was in critical condition upon arrival. The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.

The immediate delivery of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can save a life. These life-saving techniques can significantly improve the chances of survival during emergencies.
