The survival rates from cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) varies for each region and city. It was two years ago when paramedics added something else to their CPR arsenal – a modern and refined approach called as “pit crew CPR”.
Improvement in CPR delivery
According to MD Ambulance spokesperson Troy Davies, the focus is non-stop chest compressions from the second crews arrive on scene. It has been effective since the focus is on the chest compressions and defibrillations.
Every individual also has a defined role while delivering this type of CPR, like a pit crew on a race track. They maneuver around each other flawlessly as they attempt to save the life of a person.
Prompt delivery of CPR
Around 8 in every 10 cases of cardiac arrest occur at home and in a situation where time is vital and the more people who know how to perform CPR, the better.
Bystander CPR can make a big difference in the outcome during emergencies.
