A Samaritan named Anne Marie Behan, 57 years old, her cellphone was stolen while providing first aid to a victim during an accident in Nanaimo. Her device was replaced by a stranger.

Lost cellphone

According to Gary O’Brien, some local detachments offer to help Behan after they issued news about her situation. Behan rushed from her house in Nanaimo to help an injured person in a car crash. The incident happened near the intersection of Wakesiah Avenue and Third Street in Nanaimo. While she was providing first aid and CPR to the victim, she placed her cellphone on the roof of a car and according to the police it was taken by somebody. The phone was a “lifeline” that connects her to her job and to her daughter. And being a single mother she does not have enough money to replace it.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are asking for the public to help find the cellphone of a single mother. Behan cried after realizing her phone was lost. According to Behan she uses the phone to talk to her daughter. The phone is black LG Stylo and in a mint green case. There was no data plan attached to the phone. She tried to use the FindMyPhone application, in order to trace it down but it was already turned off.

Before the incident Behan was comfortable wrapping Christmas gifts at home around 8 in the evening. She suddenly heard cars smashing against each other. People are screaming outside her front window. She could hear some children are yelling and screaming. Behan was a care aid at the Nanaimo hospital for several years. Behan immediately runs outside on her slippers and a phone on hand and she is already prepared to call the emergency numbers. She saw a man in the back seat of the car who was not breathing properly. According to Behan she placed her cellphone on the hood of the car and immediately provided CPR and first aid on the victim. Some bystanders called the emergency numbers. Behan couldn’t believe her phone was already gone.

According to O’Brien, they receive several calls from strangers who wanted to replace the phone of Behan. There is a man flying to Houston and knew about what happened and replaced the phone to a new one. The first-person Behan contacted using her new phone was her daughter.
