Two victims from a burning building in West Kelowna received first aid. Two people were trapped in the bedroom of a burning house in West Kelowna and had to be carried out by the firefighters.
Immediate care
The crews were called to the house on Guidi Road shortly before 8:30 AM. When the firefighters arrived, they made it to the second-floor bedroom and found a disoriented adult and unresponsive child. Both were carried out to the front lawn to perform first aid.
Both the child and adult responded to treatment according to West Kelowna Fire Rescue and were transported to a healthcare facility along with 2 other adults and one child who made it out of the building on their own.
The root cause of the first has not been determined but it is currently under investigation.
