An employee in the government building was killed. A man who has difficulty in getting permits for work on his property was responsible. He paced the hallway with his head in his hands until police arrived to bring him to custody.
The gunman walked inside the Paradise Township municipal building. He asked for the victim by name and shot him in the mouth in his office. A co-worked delivered CPR until the paramedics arrived at the scene. Sadly, Michael Tripus, 65-years old of Stroudsburg was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tragic end
The state and local police arrested David Green; 72-years old without incident. Green was arraigned on a homicide charge and jailed without bail.
Based on the court documents, Green informed the police he was under pressure and was having issues with his new house including mold. Tripus who was the township’s sewage enforcement and building code officer had nothing to do with the issues and acted professionally when he showed up unannounced on Tuesday.
According to a neighbor, Green was facing mold issues and a defective septic system and has difficulty in acquiring certain township permits.
