Students in Surrey schools given CPR training

Ten schools in the district will teach CPR every year. A group of grade-10 Tamanawis Secondary students are holding CPR mannequins without hesitation so that they can save a life when called to action. It was that level of confidence and training that the Advanced Coronary Treatment (ACT) Foundation wants to spread all over the province and country.

Early CPR training for students

It was just recently when the training saved someone’s life. In Oliver, B.C., two high school teachers were credited for saving the life of a grade 8 student. The student went into cardiac arrest during gym class.

Clarke stated that the Southern Okanagan Secondary School had received training from ACT before the incident.

It is recommended to enroll in a first aid course today. You will learn the necessary life-saving techniques including CPR to be prepared in case of emergencies whether at home or in the workplace.
