As the province faced its steepest daily spike in COVID-19 cases, the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses (SUN) is urging the government to make face masks mandatory for indoor public spaces when social distancing is not possible.
Nurses are frightened by the signs of complacency in the fight against COVID-19. They are going to be the first in line if a new wave of illness affects more people.
The chief medical health officer stated that the use of face masks is recommended when social distancing cannot be observed.
