CPR was given to a man who was stabbed on a basketball court. The man was playing with a friend when he was stabbed to death in an elementary school playground in Kamloops, B.C.
Ordeal at the basketball court
The RCMP Staff Sgt. Grant Learned stated that the friend had been searching for a bathroom when he returned to find the victim bleeding on the ground at Stuart Wood Elementary.
The people on the scene performed CPR on the victim but he was later declared dead on arrival at Royal Inland Hospital. The victim is believed to be a Vancouver man in his mid-20s visiting relatives in Kamloops.
A dog team searched the area for evidence and suspects and the area was cordoned off to pedestrians. No arrests were made in the stabbing. Learned stated that the police hope to schedule an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.
