Man involving in shooting incident received CPR

A 29-year old man involved in a targeted shooting incident received CPR. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a Surrey hotel.

Target shooting incident

Shots were heard at the Comfort Inn & Suites at Fraser Highway and 166 Street. Upon arrival of the Mounties, they found a man inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Witnesses stated that up to five gunshots rang out and they saw officers performing CPR at the scene a short time later.

It was later confirmed by police that the man died of his injuries. He has been identified as Birinderjeet Justin Bhangu of Surrey. IHIT stated that Bhangu is known to police and preliminary evidence indicates that the shooting was targeted.
