A motorcyclist died despite CPR after losing control and flipped his bike in Etobicoke. The man who was in his 50s was declared dead in a healthcare facility.
Road dangers
The incident occurred at Norseman Street and Islington Avenue near Kipling Avenue. The man who was believed to be in his 50s did not have any vital signs upon the arrival of the paramedics. According to Toronto police spokesperson Gary Long, he was found lying on the grass beside the roadway. Witnesses attempted to perform CPR on the rider.
The man was transported to St. Michael’s Hospital in life-threatening condition where he was later pronounced dead.
The collision reconstruction unit took over the investigation. The officers are canvassing any nearby businesses and homes for video surveillance footage to determine what caused the rider to lose control.
