Saving a life

Mohamed Elzeldin Mohamed was at the park together with friends for a barbeque. They heard a woman shouting for help and ran to the beach.

Upon reaching the beach, they saw two men in the water in need of help. Mohamed and his friends sprang into action. According to Mohamed, he felt that it was the duty of any capable man to help when needed, especially if it can help save another human life.

They were successful in saving one of the men who was still kicking when they reached him, but the other one was already presumed dead.

The 35-year old man was tangled up in a net and cannot get his legs out. When Mohamed’s friends got the first man to the shore with the assistance of another person on a jet ski, the second man had sunk below the surface.

When they pulled him from the water, the group called 911. The police arrived on the scene after 15 minutes followed by the Stars air ambulance. The victim was given CPR.
