A man involved in a fatal hit and run accident was given CPR. Vancouver Police Sgt. Randy Fincham showed for the first time a photo of a silver Mitsubishi with the windshield severely smashed and caved into the seating area of the car.
Vehicular accident
Based on the damage to the windshield, the driver would be fully aware that someone was hit. Barron, 30-years old was skateboarding on Heather Street near West 54 when he was hit by a northbound vehicle. Following up on early leads, the police found the vehicle 2 days after the accident.
At the time of the incident, police were called to the quiet residential area after neighbors heard shouting from the roadway. Barron and a friend were skateboarding down Heather when a fast-approaching vehicle struck him, throwing him more than 100 feet.
His friend attempted in performing CPR while an ambulance was on the way, but Barron was declared dead at a healthcare facility from his injuries.
