A hiker received CPR after a fall at Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. The 28-year old man went into cardiac arrest while he was hiking near Norvan Falls in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. Sadly, the man was declared dead.
An incident in the wilderness
The man was airlifted out of the area in critical condition. The victim was crossing a creek when he slipped and fell, hitting his head which progressed into cardiac arrest.
The hiking partner of the man ran seven kilometers out for help. There was no cell phone reception at the location of the incident.
The North Shore Rescue received a call for help at around 6 PM and utilized a helicopter to find the victim who was rescued with a long line after the emergency responders attached an automatic CPR device on him.
