A 32-year old Cochrane man was killed in a dirt-bike accident. The incident occurred near Sundre involve a Rocky View County firefighter and a father of 2 young children.
Justin Francis died after family members discovered the injured man and rushed him to meet the first responders.
Tragic incident
Justin was on a camping trip together with friends and family when he took the dirt-bike ride. When he failed to return to the camp, Rachel and others went out to look for him and executed CPR as they drove him to meet the first responders in the town of Bearberry. According to his wife, he was an experienced and skilled rider. They do not know what the cause for the accident might be.
The reaction to the news of his death was indeed a shock and heartbreak. Aside from his firefighting work, Justin also worked for the excavation company of the family that was based out of Exshaw. He was a professional skier for several years and previously coached for the Rocky Mountain Freeriders. According to the group, they paid tribute showing that Justin is an “undeniable role model”.
