The Norfolk County OPP are searching for the Good Samaritan who saved a life. They are eager to thank the man who saves a life this week.
Both paramedics and police were called to a house located on Robinson Street in Simcoe on Wednesday with reports of a man on the ground who is unresponsive and without a pulse.
Helping hand
An officer who was patrolling the area arrived on the scene and found a Good Samaritan performing CPR on the man. The officer took over in delivering CPR and the man was transported by an ambulance to a local healthcare facility. A pulse was later restored and the man was transferred to a Hamilton-area healthcare facility to undergo further treatment.
According to the police, the Good Samaritan was vital in saving the life of the man and asking them to get in touch with the Norfolk County OPP detachment.
Importance of first aid training
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using an automated external defibrillator (AED) can save a life. Prompt delivery of life-saving techniques improves the chances of survival during emergencies.
