A man who fell into an elevator shaft received first aid and CPR. The police and the Ministry of Labour are investigating the death of a man who fell down an elevator shaft at the CBC building in Toronto.
Workplace incident
According to a witness, the man was seen swinging from the elevator cables before he falls to his death.
Firefighters were called to the scene at around 6 PM and found the man on top of the elevator car which was on the first floor. They were able to get the man off the car, but he later died of his injuries.
Based on a written statement, the incident occurred in the Toronto Broadcast Centre and the public broadcaster is in contact with both the authorities and the property management company.
