ATV ordeal
The ATVs were the 4-wheeled models known as quads. In one of the quads, there was a child car seat strapped to the rear rack that was secured in place with straps and a 3-year old was riding in the seat while his father operated the quad.
At one point during the ride, the quad with the car seat rolled and came to rest upside down and eventually submerged in a slough. The child in the car seat was trapped underwater for a brief span of time before being pulled out by other people in the group.
According to the police, the child was finally removed from the seat but he was unresponsive. CPR was started to revive the child. The family members brought the child to a healthcare facility in Hudson Bay.
