The 23-month old girl was reported missing by the owner of Melissa’s Bright Beginnings daycare. The caller informed the police that 10 minutes have passed since the child was last seen.

The officers arrived and searched for the daycare and neighboring properties. One of the officers found the toddler in the swimming pool of the house next door. He jumped into the water and dragged the child out and yelled for help. The emergency crews arrived and delivered CPR. The child was transported to a healthcare facility where she was later declared dead.
