Dylan Duncan was waiting for a bus when he heard a call for help. Jessica Burman Zinger was asking if anyone knows CPR.
Luckily, Duncan just learned CPR and was taught to always help people in need. According to Duncan, he had to help by calling for emergency assistance and delivered CPR. He was shocked and tired at the same time from all the emotions. He was intent in keeping the man alive.
CPR is a lifesaver
Duncan went with the police to the healthcare facility to check if Burman is okay. It was there he met his wife and gave his name and left.
According to Burman’s wife, the man who performed CPR saved his husband’s heart and brain. He was indeed a hero and life would have been different if he did not act.
Friendship
Duncan and Burman met at the University Club at the University of Waterloo. It was where Duncan worked in the school’s catering department. Burman gave Duncan a big hug.
Since that day, the two have met for coffee and develop a friendship. According to Duncan, he was taught by his family to help those in trouble. That is what he has been doing since he was a little boy.
