Ten schools in the district will teach CPR every year. A group of grade-10 Tamanawis Secondary students are holding CPR mannequins without hesitation so that they can save a life when called to action. It was that level of confidence and training that the Advanced Coronary Treatment (ACT) Foundation wants to spread all over the province and country.

Clarke stated that the Southern Okanagan Secondary School had received training from ACT before the incident.
