Teen saved father’s life with quick action and CPR

A 14-year old teenage girl saved the life of her father with CPR. Her father suffered a heart attack and she had to act. It was the first time she had ever called 911.

The teen was honored for helping her father when he collapsed from cardiac arrest. Her father, 47-years old collapsed at home after returning from a job. She phoned 911 while her mother and sister performed CPR.

Andrea and Susan continued in delivering CPR until the arrival of the paramedics and firefighters.

It was her first time to call 911. Everything that she learned about it as a child left out the window but she is thankful that her father is alive today.

As Warzel’s mother and her sister performed CPR on her father, Tony, Andrea relayed instructions from the dispatcher. Andrea and Susan continued in delivering CPR until the arrival of the paramedics and firefighters.

The emergency responders defibrillated Tony twice in order to restore a normal heartbeat. Tony suffered a heart attack which caused his heart to stop beating properly. After his pulse was restored, he was transported to a healthcare facility where a stent was placed in his chest to open the blocked blood vessels in his heart.
