Standard First Aid Certification Course in Edmonton
Edmonton First Aid proudly offers standard first aid courses in Edmonton, Alberta. Also referred to as intermediate first aid, this two day course is one of the most popular and comprehensive first aid and CPR courses. CPR level “C” comes standard with this course, however, candidates can opt for a health care provider level of CPR (CPR HCP). Standard First Aid Course Length:
Standard first aid and CPR courses are 14 hours in length. The course is typically completed in a two day period.
Which CPR Training to Partner with my Course?
CPR level “A” teaches participants about CPR rescues for adult victims only. Also CPR level “C” teaches participants about rescues for participants of all ages. CPR level “C” with HCP, also known as CPR “HCP” and basic life support, teaches participants all of the content from CPR level “C” but with additional health care provider topics such as the use of bag valve masks. You will be able to select the level of CPR training to partner with your intermediate first aid course when you begin the registration process below.
Typical participants in this course include: Health care administrators, oil, mining and gas employees, dentists, doctors, teachers, new parents, police officers, RCMP officers, fire-fighters, fitness attendants, caregivers, service sector workers, lifeguards, nurses and students.
Course Cost:
The cost of a standard / intermediate first aid and CPR and AED course is 132.99 dollars. CPR level “C” comes standard with the course. Course fee includes taxes, workplace certification fee and training manual.
Standard First Aid and CPR Course Curriculum:

CPR for adults, children and infants.
Conscious and unconscious obstructed victims (Choking).
Respiratory emergencies.
Circulatory emergencies (includes heart attacks, angina and strokes).
Deadly bleeding.
Internal bleeding.
Fractures and broken bones.
Sprains and strains.
Environmental emergencies.
Spinal injuries.
Poisons.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
Examination for Standard First Aid Certification Course in Edmonton:
Candidates are required to complete a multiple choice examination at the end of the course. A score of 70% is required to complete the course.
No Pressure:
At Edmonton First Aid we understand that candidates learn at different speeds and in different ways. If a candidate does not complete the course the first time, he or she is allowed to take the course a second time at no extra cost.

Refunds, Transfer and Cancellations:
Refunds are not accepted within 72 hours of the primary course. Transfers within 72 hours are charged 25 dollars. Candidates that request a refund or transfer prior to 72 hours of the primary course registered will receive a full refund. There are no refunds for rescheduled events.
