Picking The Right Workplace Approved First Aid Courses in Edmonton
We have a variety of courses from which to choose. The following will provide a brief outline of the available first aid and CPR courses in Edmonton. If you are unsure what course you need feel free to contact us or ask your employer or school what certification you need.
Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED
This is one of the most popular courses available. Also referred to as intermediate first aid, this 16 hour course covers a wide range of first aid topics. CPR level “C” training is included in the course, however, participants can also opt to add additional CPR “HCP” (BLS) content. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is also included. Certificates are valid for 3 years. We offer this course through St Mark James Training which is an approved Alberta OH&S provider.
Emergency First Aid, CPR and AED
This course is the most popular one-day (8-hour) OH&S approved certification courses. This course is also referred to as Basic first aid training. CPR level A comes standard with the course, however, participants can opt for level “C” or “HCP” (BLS) training to partner with the course . We offer this course through St Mark James Training which is an approved Alberta OH&S provider.
Childcare First Aid, CPR and AED
This is a popular 2 day course for individuals that work in the childcare / daycare environment. Participants that register for this course will receive St Mark James Training certification which is an approved first aid and CPR provider with Alberta occupational health and safety. This course does not meet Alberta OH&S standards.
First Aid Certification Courses Length:
First aid courses range in length from as short as 8 hours to as long as 72 hours. These comprehensive courses are anywhere from 8 hours to 16 hours in length.
First Aid and CPR Certification
When you complete any course you will immediately receive a first aid and CPR certificate that is valid for 3 years. Most courses allow for recertification courses to allow for candidates to renew the award.

Complete the payment through the secure on-line payment system to guarantee yourself a spot in the class.
