Edmonton First Aid proudly offers workplace and academic-approved CPR HCP recertification training for participants with expiring certifications. Also known as Basic Life Support (BLS), this course is ideal for health care professionals such as nurses, doctors, and health care administrators. Recertification courses are shorter and more affordable than the original certification course while providing essential updates and practice.

Recertification Course Length:
CPR HCP / BLS recertification courses are 4 hours long and typically completed in a single session.

The cost of CPR HCP / BLS recertification courses in Edmonton is $78.99.
Course Content:
Participants will review and reinforce all the skills and knowledge covered in the full CPR HCP / BLS course, with a strong focus on the latest CPR and AED standards and protocols. This ensures candidates stay current and confident in their life-saving abilities.
CPR HCP Recertification’s Eligibility:
To be eligible for a St Mark James training CPR HCP / BLS renewal course candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must bring previous CPR HCP certification card to renewal / re-cert course.
- Must have completed previous certification courses with a credible provider such as St. Johns Ambulance, The Red Cross, St Mark James Training, Lifesaving Society, or Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online certifications are not eligible for recertification with a workplace-approved provider.
- Must have completed the previous certification within Canada. International certifications are not eligible for a Canadian recertification course.
No Pressure:
Edmonton First Aid understands that people learn at different speeds and through different methods. If you do not complete the course you are eligible to re-take the course at no extra cost.

Cancellations and Refunds:
Refunds and cancellations of health care provider CPR courses in Edmonton will not be accepted within 72 hours of the primary course. Prior to 72 hours, candidates can receive a full refund from the registered course. There are no refunds for rescheduled events.
