Edmonton First Aid is proud to offer workplace approved stand-alone CPR courses. These courses are designed for candidates requiring only CPR training. Certification provided meets the needs of workplace and academic standards. Participants will learn the latest CSA and Alberta CPR and AED rescue techniques. Different Types of CPR Courses in Edmonton
Edmonton First Aid proudly offers a variety of different CPR courses. The following is a list of all available CPR courses available through Edmonton First Aid:
- Health care provider CPR (CPR HCP) – Also referred to as basic life support or BLS, this course teaches participants CPR rescue techniques for patients of all ages. It also includes training in the use of advanced equipment such as bag valve masks and trained back up. This course is a 8 hour course that costs 73.99.
- CPR level “C” – This course is a 6 hour course that costs 73.99. This is the most advanced course for a lay rescuer. Participants will learn CPR rescue techniques for patients of all ages.
- CPR level “A” – This course is a 4 hour course that costs 73.99. It teaches participants CPR rescue techniques for adult patients only.
All stand-alone CPR training includes certification in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED’s). Edmonton First Aid certificate will state certification in CPR and AED’s.

CPR Courses Length:
CPR courses range in length from 4 hours to 8 hours. Course time includes time for breaks.
Course cost:
CPR classes cost 73.99. Course fee includes taxes, workplace approved certification fee and course manual.
CPR Certification:
Upon successful completion of both the skills component and the multiple choice examination (75% minimum grade to pass), candidates will receive CPR certification that is valid for 3 years except for the CPR HCP course certificate because it is only valid for one year. Candidates may be required to renew certification prior to that time based on employer or educational program. Certification meets the needs of workplace and academic requirements.
